A crisis with cancer brought me to a critical decision place in my life.  It was time to use my experiences and skills to do something that would give life the meaning I had always sought.  The result is MyHealthRECOVERY

I bring to this work an extensive background as a counselor, university certified coach, and corporate trainer.  As a trainer I have worked with over 400 groups of managers and executives on leadership skills relating to their personal and professional development.

Following my bout with cancer, I found myself increasingly applying some of those same skills to helping others deal with the changes brought on by medical traumas.  I soon knew that this is what I wanted to be my life's work.

Born in Iran, I moved with my immediate family to the United States in 1974 following the Iranian revolution.  The revolution, the execution of loved ones, and the loss of my family's wealth all had a major impact on how I perceived life.  These traumas in addition to the near loss of my eye sight, leaving corporate life to start a business and becoming a mother are changes that I made work in my life and gave me the passion to help others through change.

I launched my newest project, Change Thrivers in 2006 based on my book Change Thrivers - Your Resource Guide for Making Change Work. In Change Thrivers, I draw upon 18 years of organizational consulting experience as well as my personal journey towards self-discovery. Through Change Thrivers, I teach individuals how to embrace change and realize their undiscovered potential.

From books and keynote speeches to seminars, workshops and a radio show, I work to empower people to successfully navigate the uncertainty of change by understanding the nature of change and trusting the process of life.

Jennifer Samuel-Chance, MBA, TFT-Dx

Born in the United Kingdom, I moved with my parents to the US in 1980. Life went according to ‘plan’ after college when I started to work for a great Fortune 500 company.  As the years went on, my career success could not mask the fact that I was very unhappy  - I realized that I no longer liked the ‘plan’ that others had mapped out for me but I had no clue or confidence on how to change it. My internal meltdown came in 1996 when numerous stress related serious physical ailments and weight gain prompted me to leave my successful career to carve out a new path. I discovered that the worlds of speaking, storytelling, coaching, and facilitation fitted my natural tendency to help others shine. I have since spoken, facilitated and coached thousands of professionals in the US, Europe and Caribbean on leadership, communication, storytelling and stress reduction.

Alas, I was so busy chasing my dreams and living life that I ignored the stress warning signs that plagued me in the past. To add fuel to the fire, from 2006, I lost both of my parents to liver cancer within a 16 month period and in my depressive state, my body started to shut down. After finally heeding the dire warnings from my physician, I decided to put into practice for myself all that I had been teaching others in the fields of self worth, transformation and stress management. My health slowly improved and life is joyous again. I am re-dedicated to living, loving and having as much fun as one can possibly stand while helping others to do the same. My expertise is in teaching how to verbally communicate in the most magnetic way.  I am also a certified TFT – stress reduction practitioner.

Let’s re-ignite that spark inside of you – life is too short to do otherwise.

Bobbi Gemma, MCC

Life is altered abruptly with a medical crisis. A diagnosis of Lupus shifted the way I viewed myself, the world and life. It changed daily living.

As a professional coach and trainer who has been guiding and supporting people through their life evolutions for nearly 25 years, my own personal medical experience has enriched and strengthened my commitment to that mission.

I am a Master Certified Coach through the International Coach Federation and have coached hundreds of people through business, career, personal and medical transitions.

Humor has been a significant component of my life and my business as I also hold a Certified Humor Presenter designation and understand the vital role laughter and humor play in life in general and health in particular. Life brings joys and challenges, and my commitment is to champion your life.

Mary Anne Watson, Ph.D.

As a 24 year old mother of two small children, I learned quickly that no one has a guarantee for tomorrow when my husband’s commanding officer came to my door with a chaplain by his side.  They were there to inform me of his death in a plane crash.  As I pieced my world back together, one of the themes that kept running through my head was to be grateful for every day, no matter what it brings.

But lessons often fade. I became bogged down in the details of a busy life and career.  I didn’t take time to appreciate the wonderful things about my life and career and began to focus only on the negative. The Universe, noticing this said, “Ah ha!  She needs another lesson!”  And so, it sent me the gift of breast cancer.  Now ten years later, my daily mantra is still “any day above ground is a good day!”

When I became Director of the MBA Leadership Coaching Program, I realized that I had spent my entire adult life coaching.  Whether it was in my role as a parent, a friend, or a professor at the University of Tampa, my focus has always been on helping others grow.  I believe that giving someone the tools to make their own decisions is the best way to do that.  I don’t have all the answers, but I love to ask the right questions!
